The residents of this luxury, six-bedroom, home in Surrey, UK, decided to upgrade their whole entertainment system, including full home integration. Pro Install AV, a leading residential integrator based in Essex, was tasked with a whole-home custom electronic system integration, complete with seven-zone HD video distribution switching, integrated video sources, four stereo audio zones, three 5.1 audio zones, lighting control and automation. All equipment was to be centralized in one location, and projectors and displays (ranging in size from 40 to 55 inches, from several manufacturers) were to be located in the different rooms in the house.
Pro Install AV chose to deploy WyreStorm HDBaseT MX0808-HDBT 8x8 touchscreen matrix, and WyreStorm 100m HDBaseT bidirectional display receivers. The WyreStorm 8x8 matrix was used to transmit full 1080p HD video, HD audio, Ethernet and bidirectional control from a centralized AV location to displays located up to 100m/328ft away using regular LAN cables.
Pro Install AV placed a variety of HD sources, including multiple SKY HD, PlayStation3 consoles, a media server and CCTV in a central equipment room. All sources are distributed to the several displays in the different zones via the 8x8 matrix and HDBaseT display receivers. All sources are controlled from any location in the house with bidirectional IR control and serial control integration with Crestron 3-Series control system. For a final touch of class and complete luxury, Pro Install AV included a smart bathroom mirror TV that allows residents to view any source connected to the WyreStorm HDBaseT matrix at the touch of a button from the comfort of the bath tub.
