Outdoor Living

Event Information

Class Description:

The perceived value of outdoor spaces has skyrocketed, with more restaurants and other businesses than ever before making outside upgrades. People are also spending more time in their own outdoor areas, as more of us are becoming aware of the benefits of being outside. Despite the increased desire to spend more time outdoors, there are issues which create uncomfortable conditions and make outdoor living less appealing. The first issue is glare. The type of glare that most impacts comfortable outdoor living is direct glare. Direct glare is caused by the disk of the sun. and occurs when the sun is relatively low in the sky. Glare can also be caused by the sun reflecting off water or nearby buildings.
