Most Small Aperture products have the option for a custom wood grille to be designed and built. James Loudspeaker's craftsmen would need a piece of wood to make the grille or a small sample to try and match the wood and finish. Typically, these grilles are installed in a wood trim kit, but the trim kit is recessed 1/8" so the wood grille can cover the edge of the trim ring and then match up to the wood surface with no gap. Contact James Loudspeaker for more details and pricing.
In some cases, the wood ceiling is unique or made of reclaimed wood, and matching is a challenge. If it is not possible to color match, then clients send in the entire planks for us to machine grille slots. Then the planks are installed into the ceiling. See an example in the photo gallery above for a front and rear plank.
