The SCRS-25ica in-ceiling loudspeaker brings PRO’s signature high output levels and thrilling dynamics to installations where wall-mount or behind-the-screen speaker positioning is unavailable. Like all PRO loudspeakers, the SCRS-25ica employs professional-grade drivers, including a ¾" high frequency compression driver mounted on a proprietary horn and dual high-power 5" woofers. Together, these drivers produce dynamics and SPL levels that belie their size. The angled front baffle allows the speaker to be located in the ceiling near the viewing screen while directing the sound forward into the listening area. Though ceiling mounted, the SCRS-25ica casts large, full bodied images, presenting vocals and sound effects that are distinctly associated with the video image. An integrated passive crossover network permits the SCRS-25ica to operate with a single amp channel when cost effective applications demand high performance on a budget. However, easy to access connections allow the passive network to be bypassed for Bi-amp operation where the highest level of performance is required. Designed for retrofit applications, the 25ica employs PRO’s proprietary MonoClamp™ design. The speaker can be installed in a matter of seconds with nothing more than a Phillips screwdriver and will work in all types of home or commercial construction. The 25ica will fit, in either orientation, within 12" OC joists and is less than 8" deep. Any ceiling material thickness can be accommodated by simply changing the length of a few screws. Like all Pro Audio Technology loudspeakers, the SCRS-25ica requires PRO amplification as DSP is required in all operating modes.
